스윔래빗은 일렉트로닉과 하우스 장르의 음악을 기반으로 하는 프로듀서로, 세련된 사운드가 인상적인 아티스트다. 본인의 사운드 색채를 장르를 불문하고 녹여내어 일렉트로닉과 하우스뿐만 아니라 김아일, 키드밀리등 다양한 힙합 아티스트들과 협업을 하기도 했다. 스윔래빗은 2017년 발매된 Kid from seoul의 컴필레이션 앨범 [Kawaii Compilation Vol.2]에 참여하며 공식적인 음악 활동을 시작했다. <div> 이후 사운드클라우드를 통해 본인의 EP [FULL MONTH #2017]를 공개하며 자신의 음악적 색깔을 보여주었으며, 2018년 첫 싱글 [BEYOND]를 발매하기도 했다. 같은 해, Kitsune로부터 러브콜을 받아 컴필레이션 앨범에 참여해 [BEYOND]의 수록곡 'Foolish'를 재발매하며, 신인임에도 불구하고 일찍이 다양한 매체에서 러브콜을 받아 음악 영역을 넓혀갔다. 2018년 발매한 첫 싱글 [BEYOND]는 한국의 일렉트로닉, 하우스 음악의 신예로서의 가능성을 여실히 보여주었다. 군더더기 없이 깔끔한 사운드와 예측 불가능하게 튀어다니는 코드 프로그레션은, 팝한 보컬 퍼포먼스와 잘 버무려져 스윔래빗의 음악으로 완성되었다. ‘Azilangi’와 같이 국악기를 활용하여 새로운 방향성을 제시하는 파이오니어로서의 면모도 갖추고 있다. <div> swimrabbit is a music producer, skilled in making Electronic House tracks characterized by polished and sophisticated sounds. He has collaborated with a variety of hip-hop artists, such as Qim Isle and Kid Milli, collaborations through which swimrabbit has opened up his creative potential by embracing different musical genres. ‍ swimrabbit embarked on his official musical career by participating in [Kawaii Compilation Vol.2], a compilation album released in 2017 by Kid from Seoul. He then unveiled the EP [FULL MONTH #2017] through his SoundCloud account, which was followed by the release of his first single [BEYOND] in 2018. This earned him the favorable attention of Kitsune, a French electronic music record label, and consequently swimrabbit received an invitation to participate in the label’s compilation album. For the project, he decided to re-release the track ‘Foolish’, from [BEYOND], which allowed him to be much better known to the public, sparking an interest from the music scene in spite of his relatively young career.
[BEYOND], his first single album, fully demonstrated swimrabbit’s strong rookie potential on the domestic Electro House music scene. With a neatly designed sound, he arranged unpredictable chord progressions to create musical surprises, which are ultimately harmonized with vocal performances. He introduced the use of traditional Korean musical instruments for the track titled ‘Azilangi’, which added an additional level of originality to his pioneering sound.
